The first big awards show of the year is a wrap and the tide has turned in the new decade. While earrings have been dominant on the red carpet for years, the necklace is now back in the mix. If you missed Beyoncé’s sly entrance into the Golden Globes, then you definitely spotted her inside the show with her extra-pouffy sleeves and those jaw-dropping Lorraine Schwartz earrings totaling over 250 carats of diamonds and checking in at $8 million.
The actress had two showstopping accessories on the carpet — her hubby Nick Jonas and this truly blinding $1 million Bulgari necklace featuring 56 carats in diamonds, along with a Bulgari ring and earrings.
Cynthia paired her three Bulgari rings (featuring sapphires, rubies and diamonds) with a jaw-dropping Bulgari wreath necklace worth a whopping $3 million. It features a 40-carat cabochon center sapphire, surrounded by 56.65 carats of diamonds and sapphires.
Leave it to a triple-threat to wear a double-the-fun necklace! Her Harry Winston choker interlinks 21 emeralds and 56 diamonds (for a total of 76.36 carats) for a “one-of-a-kind creation that appears to delicately float on the wearer’s skin,” according to the jeweler. As if that weren’t enough, she’s also wearing nearly 60 more carats of diamonds and emeralds on her ears, wrists and fingers.
Jason didn’t want to be outdone by the ladies. Jason accessorized his velvet Tom Ford coat (while he was wearing it, that is) with a white gold, onyx, emerald and diamond Cartier brooch. On his Instagram Story his stylist Jeanne Yang said it rings up at more than $250,000 – which warrants a security detail, whom he also highlighted in his Stories.
And Billy didn’t want to be outdone by Jason! Maybe the actor’s feathery train was the focus of your attention, but you’ll definitely want a second look at his accessories. He wore over $2 million worth of fine jewels by Tiffany & Co., including a necklace featuring an 11 carat pear-shaped diamond with over 31 carats of round brilliant diamonds, plus a dragonfly brooch and a selection of Tiffany T rings.
The actress’s strapless Vera Wang gown showcased her blinding Bulgari necklace, which she paired with an archival heritage bracelet and stud earrings – totaling over 120 carats of diamonds.
The actress chose her go-to designer, Lorraine Schwartz, for the big night, opting for oversize hoop earrings that contain over 80 carats of champagne diamonds set in titanium hoops. She also threw on two champagne diamond rings for good measure.
One can always count on Gwyneth to be a trend (or two) ahead of the pack when it comes to her style. She not only exposed her bra in her sheer Fendi gown, but she also exposed two Bulgari “High Jewelry Fiorever” necklaces underneath the material. The actress added earrings and two diamond rings from the jewelry brand, bringing the grand total to nearly 100 carats of diamonds.
The actress picked the perfect pairing for her plunging V-neck Fendi Couture gown — an eye-catching Harry Winston pendant. She wore over 110 carats worth of diamonds and sapphires from the brand, including the sapphire cabochon pendant necklace, sapphire and diamond Flower earrings, and two sapphire and diamond rings.
Jennifer kept things classic, right down to her jewelry, thanks her vintage 1950s Cartier necklace from Fred Leighton. The brand also provided her with 10 carats of diamond earrings, plus an Art Deco ring by Cartier and another 1920s ring with a marquise diamond, set in platinum.
