Outside of a few power couples, you probably do not hear all of the news regarding celebrities marrying, popping the question or saying yes to an engagement ring. The diamonds they show are often out of this world and come from the best jewelry designers in the world, so why not showcase them even more? We love a good engagement ring, and who knows, you might get some ideas of your own.
Here are a few from the past few years.
Katie Couric, the popular television personality who started on The Today Show for years before moving to the CBS Evening News and then her own personal show, also tied the knot. While she has not released a large amount of information, Katie and her husband John Molner married inside of her East Hampton home surrounded by a small group of their close family and friends. And, by the looks of it, she loves that new rock (so do we)!
The former Friends star and Cougar Town actress Courteney Cox showcased the uniquely beautiful engagement ring given by longtime friend Johnny McDaid. While she has not officially announced anything to the public, it is only a matter of time before she confirms the new engagement.
Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg
Jenny McCarthy did not stay on the market long after her breakup with longtime husband Jim Carrey. After almost a year of dating, Donnie, the former New Kinds on the Block member, popped the question to Jenny with a less traditional ring. Instead of going the diamond route, he sprung the question on her with a yellow sapphire – and we are obsessed!
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis
After separating from Demi Moore (perhaps he was just a bit too afraid of Demi's ex, Bruce Willis), Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis started dating. Recently the two, who started with one another on “That 70s Show.” announced their engagement along with the news that they are now expecting a child. Want some bling like Mila’s? Give us a call!
Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting
Kaley, the star of the television show "The Big Bang Theory" and pro tennis star Ryan Sweeting wed on the last day of December, 2013 in Santa Susana, California. Kaley sported a less traditional wedding dress in the form of a pink fairy princess gown, designed and crafted for her by Vera Wang. We are unsure who designed the ring – but we know someone else who does a pretty good job! (Hint, hint).
Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger
Most married couples celebrate their one-year anniversary with the traditional gift of paper, but Avril Lavigne's husband Chad Kroeger jumped straight to diamonds—and a whopping one at that!
"I still can't believe my 1 year anniversary gift," the "Hello Kitty" singer shared on Twitter on Thursday, July 31. "17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby," she added, along with a snap of herself, her new giant bling, and the generous Nickelback singer.
This isn't the first time the "Photograph" singer has presented the songstress with an insane amount of carats. Back in August 2012, Kroeger proposed to the "Complicated" singer with a 14-carat pear-shaped diamond ring. The couple married in July 2013 in front of 50 guests in the South of France.
